About the Artist
Haley Knighten is a Southern contemporary artist based in Charlotte, North Carolina, known for expressive swan paintings, botanicals, and landscapes created for timeless, collected interiors.
Working primarily in acrylic, Knighten combines expressive brushwork, layered color, texture, and traditional subject matter with a contemporary point of view. She describes her aesthetic as “moody maximalism with Southern soul,” drawing inspiration from nature, memory, home, and the tension between the refined and the unexpected. Her recurring swans have become a signature motif within a body of work that also includes abundant florals and atmospheric landscapes.
Knighten works directly with collectors to create one-of-a-kind commissioned paintings, often designed with a particular home, family, or story in mind. Her original work is also available through Art House Charlotte, where she has cultivated a local following and continues to offer new original collections.
Her work has been selected by Anthropologie and Minted, licensed for national home retailers, and represented by art and licensing partners including Artfully Walls. Her paintings are held in private collections throughout the United States.
Through originals, commissions, and select reproductions, Knighten creates art intended to transcend trends and become part of the evolving story of a home.
